The New Mexico Dream Center Business Office Administrator will be the first point of contact for many who engage with our organization.  This position will be responsible for a variety of activities that ensure agency programs and clients are supported, as well as provide a warm welcome to those coming to and calling into our business. This position will provide high-level, confidential support to senior executives, managing complex projects, assisting with grant related reporting, travel logistics, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication Liaison: Screening calls, managing emails, and acting as a primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Administrative Support: Drafting correspondence, creating presentations, recording meeting minutes, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Calendar & Meeting Management: Scheduling complex meetings, prioritizing, and managing daily agendas.
  • Special Projects: Conducting research, preparing reports, and coordinating special events or projects.
  • Assist with Human Resources in onboarding new hires to the organization: 
  • IT Security Oversight: 
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as requested by management

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Exercise excellent customer service skills. 
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and possess a high level of organizational ability.  
  • Strong G-Suite Skills: Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Mail.
  • Experience with MSOffice skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess troubleshooting, problem solving, and creative/innovative thought processing skills.  
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to document and implement processes and procedures.  
  • Self motivated and self-directed

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or beyond
  • 3 years of administrative experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with management, staff, and clients.
  • Confidentiality: Handling sensitive, confidential information with high discretion. 

About NMDC:

New Mexico Dream Center (NMDC) is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Our target populations are survivors of human trafficking and youth experiencing homelessness.

NMDC has three main programs:

  • Spoken For is the direct services aftercare program for survivors of human trafficking.
    • Case Management
    • Behavioral Health Services
    • Transitional Housing
  • The Harbour is the drop-in center program for youth experiencing homelessness.
  • The Eliza Jane House is a stability shelter for survivors of human trafficking.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to pass criminal, sexual offender and motor vehicle background check
    • Any serious moving violations (DUI etc) must have been completely legally resolved and been two years prior or longer.
  • Must have a necessary documents to be able to work legally in the United States
  • Must have a car, valid driver’s license and maintain auto insurance minimums
